It was perhaps fitting that in the years before it's demise Hammersmith Palais gained a sound system befitting it's longevity and reputation. 

Although Blue Box had supplied large system for the Palais for one off events it took the vision of an Australian manager to bring a permanent Blue Box Funktion one system to the Palais. The approach was design a system that will unequivocal in the space and then make sure the budget was available. A refreshing and sensible way to go about investing in a new sound system of value.

Because of the unusual width of the venue triple headed Dance stack mid highs were utilised atop of the then regulation F218MKII and underpinned further by Funktion One's unique Infrabass. 

Because the venue was used for multiple purposes the system had to be moveable and Funktion One duly supplied special fork lift platforms for this to be easily accomplished.
